Kit Shields is a seasoned hairstylist at SCRUFF's Barbershop, bringing with her over a decade of experience in the hair industry. Originally from Missouri, Kit spent nearly 18 years in Los Angeles, where she initially pursued a career in the music industry before discovering her true passion for hair. Her journey into hairstyling began unexpectedly as a hair model during her college years at Arizona State, sparking a love for creative expression and hair transformations. Kit eventually embraced this calling when she trained with Toni & Guy in LA, and she hasn't looked back since. Now based in Austin, Kit thrives on creating classic, timeless cuts while also excelling in skin fades and textured styles.

At SCRUFF’s, Kit has found the camaraderie and sense of family she was seeking after relocating for a fresh start. She loves the unique bond between her fellow stylists, describing the team as a “cute band of misfits” who are united by their passion not just for hair, but for helping others feel their best. Known for her keen understanding of hair growth patterns and her ability to create flawless styles, Kit approaches each client with authenticity, providing an experience that is both professional and personal.
