am, a fourth-generation hairdresser, brings a unique background and passion for hair styling to his craft. Originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, Kam made the move to Austin, TX, in 2018, where he’s currently living with his partners. He was drawn to the city's welcoming atmosphere and vibrant community. His journey into hair and barbering began at a young age, fueled by a love for style, expression, and the transformative impact of hairdressing. After initially starting hair school at 19, Kam took a detour into the tech industry for four years before ultimately returning to pursue his true calling as a barber. His dedication to his craft led him to become one of SCRUFF'S first employees, where he quickly became an integral part of the team, driven by his desire to make a positive impact and build meaningful connections with clients.

Passionate about his work and committed to ongoing growth, Kam finds inspiration in his experiences outside the barbershop, particularly in the music festival and EDM scenes where he shares adventures with his partners. Embracing the ethos of SCRUFF'S, Kam values the sense of community and purpose the shop provides, recognizing it as more than just a place of business but a platform for meaningful work and impact within the queer community and beyond.
